User Research Summary

I conducted interviews and created empathy maps

to understand the users I’m designing for and their needs.

A primary user group identified through research were working

adults who order order food out for convenience due to busy schedules.

This user group confirmed initial assumptions about The Kitchen Sink

customers that time is an important factor to consider, not having enough

time to prepare meals, or having obligations, interests, or

challenges make it difficult to get groceries for cooking or to go to

restaurants in- person. Research also revealed that having the ability to use

assistive technology is important to the user in their food ordering process,

and users prefer updates or time slots for their order availability.
